Cathay Pacific Partners With Covalt Floor Leveling at LAX

May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Cathay Pacific Airlines calls on Covalt  Floor Leveling for a project at Los Angeles International Airport. Cathay Pacific was in need of  floor fill and leveling for high end floor coverings located in their exclusive concierge customer lounge.


Covalt was honored to work with Cathay Pacific, which holds the title of the worlds third largest airline, and the worlds largest international cargo airline. In fact, in 2009, the airline was awarded Airline of the Year, and it is only one of seven airlines to be ranked as a 5 star airline. Congratulations Cathay Pacific.

Covalt has worked successfully on many projects at LAX  over the past three decades, and is quite familiar with the intricacies, complexities and regulations at the Los Angeles International Airport. LAX is the sixth busiest airport in the world with sixty million  passengers. Covalt’s cement floor resurfacing system used on this Los Angeles project, has an outstanding track record which is the result of experience and product knowledge.

Due to the busy nature of the project, the Covalt Applications Group was called out to perform in a precise and quick manner and during minimal traffic times. Installation was complete in one day due to additional staffing by Covalt on this project. Floor coverings were able to be installed the very next day, as to not interrupt the construction flow of this busy high end project.

Company President, Martin Covalt was personally on site to ensure a fast track installation. “ I personally oversee as many of our concrete floor leveling and repair projects as possible.”  On this particular Cathay Pacific venture, access was difficult, and staging of materials needed to be expedited. Often times, the only access is from the tarmac. This is when experience counts. The Cathay Pacific project was a huge success. Fast, precise, and efficient is key when working with a high traffic, 24 hour space.
