Vandergriff Honda: Making a Difference One Car at a Time

May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- Vandergriff Honda recently joined forces with the American Red Cross (ARC) to aid in Japan earthquake and tsunami recovery efforts. Last month, our Texas dealership raised over $50,000 for this tremendous cause. During the fundraising event, Vandergriff Honda donated $100 for every car sold through April 30, 2011. The American Red Cross has already donated thousands of dollars to aid earthquake survivors in Japan. The funds have been used to provide medical care and relief to the hundreds of thousands of people affected by Japan’s March 11th earthquake. The staggering 8.9-magnitude earthquake devastated large portions of northern Japan, leaving behind a path of destruction that has crippled the Land of the Rising Sun.

At this time, Japanese citizens are still in dire need of financial assistance and medical care, as many of the roadways are still inaccessible due to the disaster. Donating funds will allow air-bound assistance teams to continue to deliver the care that Japan so desperately needs.

Vandergriff Honda prides itself on being an active member of its community and is involved in several sponsorship campaigns. This event was important to the dealership and it became their biggest fundraising event of the year. All money raised will be used to help the Red Cross in its continued efforts to provide disaster-relief services to Japan’s citizens.
