MyBinding.com Raises More Than $5,000 for Mercy Corps' Japan Relief Effort

Japan was struck by a powerful earthquake and tsunami on March 9, 2011 which resulted in billions of dollars of damage and displaced countless residents.

“We were devastated by what happened in Japan and wanted to do whatever we could,” said Jeff McRitchie, Vice-President of Marketing for MyBinding.com. “So we contacted Mercy Corps to see how we could help out.”  MyBinding chose Mercy Corps because they had a reputation for getting money to the people in need.  Over the past five years, Mercy Corps has used more than 88 percent of their resource to help those in need.

During their monthly sale in late March, MyBinding.com offered to donate $5 to Mercy Corps' relief effort for every order they received. The company also gave their customers the opportunity to donate directly to Mercy Corps if they wished.
