May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- New York, NY - The LazyTown BooClips app, released 20th April 2011 by Castle Builders (IL) in cooperation with LazyTown Entertainment, has reached the 1st place in the Free iPad Books category and 2nd place in the TOP Free iPad apps on the US App Store. By doing so, LazyTown’s BooClips app had passed iKindle, Barnes & Noble’s, Disney’s Toy Story, Marvel, DC Comics, Sesame St., Dr. Seuss, CNN, NASA, and even Angry Birds. In addition, LazyTown BooClips got the banner from Apple in New and Noteworthy.

Says Magnus Scheving, CEO and star of LazyTown, “This is our first foray into digital and we’re absolutely overwhelmed and delighted at the success of the LazyTown BooClips, demonstrating proof of concept and show’s endearing popularity. The app is a fantastic tool to teach young children how to read and we're 100% behind it.”

Says Gili Abramovich of Castle Builders, “We are proud to have LazyTown as our partner on this magnificent app. Both of our companies feel privileged to be included on Apple’s New and Noteworthy category, and are thrilled by the staggering success of our app on the charts. It is always a great motivation for us to see parents who encourage their children to lead a healthy lifestyle and to improve their reading skills, while doing so in a fun and engaging way; that is the common ground for both our companies and where they share their visions.“

The LazyTown BooClips app combines fantastic videos and songs from the TV show, including Sportacus' Sportclub workout, a video that motivates children to get up and exercise with him. The app's high level of interactivity encourages children’s independence, providing them with full control of the reading pace. In addition, they can take part of the story, by using the remarkable voiceover function. With this exceptional feature from Castle Builders, children can narrate the story in their own voice with full synchronization with the text, while the background music and special effects are added to their own narration. This easy-to-use feature is the perfect solution for parents and grandparents who want to read the stories to their children in their own voices – whether they are stay-at-home moms, working parents who work long hours or a parent who travels often on business.

The app is offered with a free trial and could be found on the Apple App Store, LazyTown's website and at The paid version includes the full books, offering 36 pages of the episodes, with sing-a-long songs, Sportacus' Sportclub workout, more videos, more animations and more 3D.
