YMCA Camp Mason Builds Unique Compost Program

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Hardwick, NJ - May 2, 2011: YMCA Camp Mason's Outdoor Center is enriching their composting program with a 'Critter-Proof' Composter. Staff Naturalist Dan Egan is building the composter with the help of the designers. Dan found the company online, and is excited about the progress they've made.

“Some April wet weather has been hindering progress on the composter but progress regardless is being made,” says Egan.

“Last week, we assembled the forms, and placed rocks and poured concrete for the compost adjacent to our camp’s vegetable garden. We had to tarp it for the past four days during the rains, but I began taking the forms apart this morning. It looks great, but we still have work to mortar the four faces, and pour the concrete for the top."
