By: YMCA Camp Mason “Some April wet weather has been hindering progress on the composter but progress regardless is being made,” says Egan. “Last week, we assembled the forms, and placed rocks and poured concrete for the compost adjacent to our camp’s vegetable garden. We had to tarp it for the past four days during the rains, but I began taking the forms apart this morning. It looks great, but we still have work to mortar the four faces, and pour the concrete for the top." When completed the composter will take waste from Camp Mason's dining hall to be converted to loam for the camp's garden.
