Austin’s Own Eric Tessmer Taking It To The Next Level!

Eric Tessmer has gone from being a 6th Street staple to creating partnerships with national brands and increasing his exposure… one fan at a time!

The Eric Tessmer Band is representing Austin in the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G by Samsung "Kick It with the Band" contest!  

Beloved by audiences throughout the world, the Eric Tessmer Band has captured the attention of fans from all ages as a result of their uncompromising musicianship and unbridled aggression.  Their music is organic and natural—they’re real and every note you hear leaps from the speakers and is completely unfettered by superfluous studio trickery.  Previous performances include: Stubbs—Austin, Antone’s—Austin, Summerfest—Milwaukee, Taste of Chicago, Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Johnstown Folk Fest—Pennsylvania.

“Kick It with the Band” includes the efforts of hundreds of Samsung and T-Mobile employees set across the country to kick it with nine musical acts on the verge of stardom.  A local launch event was produced at Highball on South Lamar on Tuesday, April 19th to introduce T-Mobile employees and the band to the new Sidekick 4G phone.  The phones are being used to promote the band in a national competition for a promotional budget that could lead to a major breakthrough for the artist!

The Eric Tessmer Band will be performing an impromptu show at The Dirty Dog Bar, 505 East 6th Street, Austin on Saturday, April 30th at 6:00 pm.  The event will be free to the public and those entering must like the Eric Tessmer Band Facebook page on their phone to receive a raffle ticket to win a new Sidekick 4G phone, compliments of the Eric Tessmer Band.  The Eric Tessmer Band will be releasing clues from their Sidekick 4G phones starting on Sunday, April 24th.  Voting begins on the “Kick It with the Band” Facebook page on May 1st and will end on May 6th.
