April 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Laury Heating, a leader in heating, air conditioning and plumbing services in southern New Jersey, announced that Josh Briggs and Frank Fote have completed trainings in Air Conditioning Service.
Fote completed “Air Conditioning Troubleshooting” through the Eastern Heating & Cooling Council, and Briggs completed “24 Hours A/C Service Training” through the R.E. Michel Company, Inc.

“With summer approaching, our customers can rest assured knowing our technicians are trained professionals when it comes to air conditioning diagnostics and customer service,” said Ben Laury, President of Laury Heating.

In “Air Conditioning Troubleshooting,” Fote studied an overview of air conditioning fundamentals and topics such as saturation charts, condenser and evaporator operation, superheat and subcooling, compression ratio and charging by weight, as well as reading schematics for both split systems and packaged units. He also explored the sequence of operations for air conditioning systems in order to create a more logical method for diagnostic procedures. Through the use of computer simulation programs, Fote learned to diagnose common operating and mechanical defects, allowing him to troubleshoot and diagnose R-22 as well as R-410A air conditioning system problems faster and more accurately.

The “24 Hours A/C Service Training” course provided Briggs the skills to troubleshoot air conditioners, and diagnose common mechanical problems and defects. In addition, Briggs learned some tips to focus on interpersonal skills and customer relations, with a special emphasis on integrity in justifying the work and suggested options to the homeowner.

The Eastern Heating & Cooling Council is a non-profit educational organization comprised of HVAC contractors, distributors, manufacturers and other trade allies.
