Oracle names Safra Catz as new CFO

April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Oracle Corp. on Monday introduced that its co-president Safra Catz is taking the extra position since the software giant's chief monetary officer (CFO), following the resignation of its existing CFO Jeff Epstein.

Epstein was named Oracle's CFO in September 2008, and had documented right to Catz. Oracle did not give details about Epstein's departure.

Catz joined Oracle in April 1999 and has been its president since January 2004. She formerly served because the company's CFO from November 2005 to September 2008.

"Safra already has the long-standing confidence of our personnel, our Board and our shareholders," Oracle's chief executive officer Larry Ellison mentioned within a statement, including that " there isn't any much more logical selection for CFO."

"The CFO perform has documented to Safra to get a quantity of years and she's acted as Oracle's CFO inside the previous. She has the full help of the Board," mentioned Jeff Henley, chairman of Oracle's board of directors.
