April 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Parkers is the first and only dry cleaners in Toronto to offer 3 environmentally friendly alternative cleaning methods: GreenEarth cleaning, Solvair Cleaning and wet cleaning, keeping the environment clean as well as making your clothes brighter and softer without the harsh chemicals and odours.

Solvair® uses a biodegradable cleaning liquid to clean garments, combined with a totally unique drying process that uses no heat. Instead of tumbling in heated air, garments float in a combination of cool liquid and gas, that cushions fabrics, and protects buttons, wedding gowns and fancy beaded garments from tumbling damage.

GreenEarth cleaning is an environmentally friendly and safe dry cleaning process that leaves your garments looking brighter, feeling softer and smelling fresher. Garments are cleaned in a gentle silicone based solvent, similar to deodorant

Wet Cleaning is an environmentally friendly and safe process using water and non- toxic bio-degradable detergents.

In further efforts to be green, Parkers Dry Cleaners introduced eco-friendly, reusable shirt bags and garments bags to reduce the use of plastic; a number of green initiatives: changed the lighting in all locations to more energy efficient tubes and ballasts; and replaced the boiler at our main plant (located at 3125 Yonge Street) with a new, more energy efficient boiler.
