This New Action Principle Driving Evolution of Autopoietic Living Systems provides critical new nosology for the etiology of the approximately 400 known autoimmune disorders. For millennia, the three treasures of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Jing-Qi-Shen or essential energies taught in the Neijing, were the basis for health care; but with the advent of Allopathic or Scientific Medicine about a hundred years ago TCM energy balancing techniques have been essentially marginalized and dozens of derogatory terms given for these ‘so-called unscientific’ treatment modalities. With the recent discovery of how to access and utilize the unified field of physics by a string theoretic Calabi-Yau resonance hierarchy to coherently control or program what is called the Dirac covariant polarized vacuum, we have come full circle to provide the basis for a truly integrative medicine for the first time in history. Living systems are forms of complex self-organized autopoietic systems and as such their evolution can be driven by external telergic factors regulating homeostasis. For our discussion we use Alzheimer’s Disease as our test case. Recent discovery of ADDL protein (Amyloid ß-Derived Diffusible Ligand) allows the autoimmune trigger mechanism causing Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) to be described by principles of complex systems theory. We have defined the new physical action principle as “The Noetic Effect” and utilize the formalism of catastrophe theory to describe its phenomenology. This Noetic Effect may drive the autopoietic system away from optimal equilibrium by catastrophes in our example causing protein misfolds that trigger the onset of AD. The ADDL protein has been shown by several research teams to correlate with both Amyloid Plaques and Tau neurofibulary tangles. The other significant advance, by M. Stefani in 2001 was the realization that misfolds are a much more general property of proteins than previously suspected. Stefani's team also found evidence that "the mortal blow" occurs just before the strand misfolds. In this general framework the double-cusp equilibrium surface is analyzed in terms of a hierarchy of Ising model-like jumps in state providing a framework for expanding the basis of the nosology of allopathic medicine and psychoneuroimmunology. We are in the process of acquiring funding to prototype a special class of quantum computer leading to a whole new class of medical technologies that will eventually ameliorate all autoimmune etiologies. Current treatment of autoimmune diseases is typically by the utility of immunosuppressants which like most allopathic medical modalities does not address the root of the problem.  The introduction of the noetic field and its noetic effects on protein conformation into an integrative medicine is vital to world health.
