Gdavis Productions is producing the eye-opening play "The Forget Me Not Project" in order to address the unforgettable disease of Alzheimer.
 
April 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Garrett Davis creative director and CEO of “ Gdavis Productions” (www.gdavisplays.com) and the force behind such great celebrity cast plays like Jessie and Lucy and The Lord Will Make A Way brings his most critically acclaimed and thought provoking work yet.  Gdavis Productions presents “The Forget Me Not Project”, this play has sweeping reactions across the country with its underlying cause to become the voice of the unforgettable disease of Alzheimer. The Forget Me Not Project (www.fmnproject.com) grand gala and official kick off will take place April 14-16,2011 at the Holiday Inn in Fayetteville NC. The event has bought together a star-studded cast with a common factor of the Alzheimer as their base. Each artist in this production has been affected in some way by this horrendous crippling disease.

The project will feature former American Idol finalist Scott Savol, R&B artist Tony Terry, Bobbi Baker from Tyler Perry’s television sitcom House of Pain, legendary six time Gospel Grammy Nominee Melvin Williams, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard and phenomenal chart topping singer and actress Ms. Melba Moore. The project’s national spokesperson is Ms. Bernadette Stanis most known for her role as Thelma in the long time running hit show Good Times. Ms. Stanis is currently an Alzheimer caregiver to a family member and advocate for the continuous education and development of the disease. Mr. Davis and his staff has arranged to have a health fair and informative VIP symposium from 7:00PM-9:00PM.   The event will host its prayer breakfast Saturday morning facilitated by Elder Jametta C Moore of the Life Center Ministries, Charleston, SC. The stage play will take place Saturday evening from 4:00PM-8:00 PM

Alzheimer Disease is twice as likely to affect the African American and Hispanic community as other races. It has been listed as the number 6th killer among those ethnicities. The disease is completely devastating to families financially and emotionally. To the patient itself it is truly a daily transformation into the unknown without hope. The Forget Me Not Project will serve as a platform, a voice and a sound box to the awareness and continual development of this disease’s victims and their families.
