Paris platform for Aero Sekur aerospace innovations

April 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Aero Sekur, specialist in safety systems and flexible structures, returns to Paris Air Show with a series of announcements including extended MRO services. The company’s innovative aerospace systems will also be detailed, along with advancements supporting the next generation of Space exploration.

The growing portfolio of products and services from Aero Sekur, which centre on innovative use of advanced materials, has led to an increased presence for the company at the Air Show. A presence on three stands will provide separate areas of focus for group products/services, airborne/helicopter safety and Space initiatives.

Safety system developments will be key exhibits including Aero Sekur’s established Non Pyrotechnic Inflation System and the company’s combined helicopter air/flotation bag concept.

News includes development of Aero Sekur’s established Maintenance Repair and Overhaul capability with an expanded range of flotation bags/life rafts, escape slides, life-jackets and flexible fuel tanks that are supported.

Pioneering work supporting Space exploration will also be reported by Aero Sekur including an Educational Payload Operations greenhouse supplied to ESA for the International Space Station.

Corporate news includes a business reorganisation at Aero Sekur’s primary manufacturing facility in Italy. Designed to give increased focus to sector specialisms, and support cross fertilisation between departments, the re-structure sees a number of the company’s established engineering specialists promoted to divisional heads. Roberto Simonetti heads Airborne Systems; Alessandro Pica is Personal Protection Systems Business Unit Manager; Valentina Bornisacci becomes head of Space; Alice Hromadkova heads Collective Protection Systems and Alessandro Perillo heads MRO. Additionally, Marco Adami is promoted to Director of Advanced Projects, with emphasis on ‘over the horizon’ activities and Giacomo Giovangrossi becomes Chief Engineer.
