Taking the total number of branches in the state to 80

Lucknow: Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, today announced plans to launch of nine additional branches in the state of Uttar Pradesh taking the total number of branches in the state to 80 by 31st March, 2011.

Mr. S. K. Chakrabarti, Deputy Managing Director, Axis Bank, speaking on the occasion said, “Axis Bank is focused on taking its products and services into the farthest corners of the country. The Bank, to grow its network and achieve this, planned to open 350 branches across the country by the end of this fiscal and are well on course to achieve that target.”

The branches will be located Fatehpur, Maharajganj, Pratapgarh City, Bhadohi and Kanpur.

The Bank enjoys the patronage of the State Government for being the Banking Partner for eSuvidha Project, an e-Governance Initiative of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.
