Twin Cities Gateway Announces Photo Contest

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Twin Cities Gateway, the regional visitors bureau representing nine communities in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, announces its First Annual TCG Photo Contest.  The contest provides an opportunity for photographers to submit entries in four different categories.
“No one knows the Twin Cities Gateway destination region better than the people who live here, or visit the area,” said Al Stauffacher, President of Twin Cities Gateway, “and the photo contest provides the opportunity to showcase why our nine member cities are such great places to live, work, and play.”
The photo contest categories include: City and Corporate Sights which can include photos from any of the TCG member cities; Family Fun and Things to Do which should include photos of TCG family activities or things to do in Twin Cities Gateway communities; Sporting Events and Recreation which should include photos of Twin Cities sports games being played in the 9 member communities; and Scenic Beauty and the Four Seasons which should include photos of the natural splendor of the Twin Cities Gateway. A panel of judges will select the winners.  The grand prize winner will receive an Apple iPad and two nights lodging in a Twin Cities Gateway hotel. First place winners in each of the four categories will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.
According to Steve Markuson, director of Twin Cities Gateway, “We know that countless visitors enjoy the region’s assets and have had memorable experiences.   Many of these folks have discovered some truly hidden gems.  We want to use the photo contest to share these unique experiences with others.”
A photographer may submit multiple entries to the photo contest, but each submission requires a separate entry form. All photos must be received by the March 31, 2011 deadline in order to be eligible for the contest.
