Life isn't all about being there when it happens. It's about how you live it each day and take each day a step ahead. It's about growing each day, being more knowledgeable each day, it's about learning from yesterday and starting each day with a fresh clear thought.

Well, what struck to me when I was in one of the conversations with a good friend on view points and perspectives, while deciding that we would write up something that will define the perspectives was that this was indeed one of the best ways to learn from each other. We decided on writing about 'Growing up'. Well what I can define as growing up definitely will be a different view from what my friend thinks. So here I am, trying to relive and understand what growing up actually means to me.

Every now and then we find ourselves in crossroads that make some of the most life defying decisions. Each time we make a decision is a lesson learnt. A lesson learnt and understood is what growing up is all about. Well, there are times when you are in a crossroad, but you don't even know you are in one. That is one of the most dangerous roads one can take, and very often we end up coming back in search of that road and choosing the right one ultimately.

Well, it might sound a little silly if you are trying to understand why I am playing around so much with the cross roads. Well, these are all the decision points in life. Choosing a road is the decision we make. Sometimes, or rather very often we walk with preconceived notions that lets us ignore the fact that there is a point of decision making and there are better options, but we tend to go on what we think is the right road. If you take up the courage to come back on that road and find the cross road, that is a point of growing up. It's about being able to accept the fact that there has been a problem and it can be solved by taking a few steps back and doing what the situation best needs. While, if you decide to stay up there, and continue in the direction you believe is right, there is a possibility that you would never learn your mistake, and hence no learning from the mistake and not growing at all:).

We often wonder what people mean by 'Grow Up'! Well, if someone said that to me, I would probably take a step back and think back on the possibilities where I could have been simply stupid. It's about realizing and understanding the fact that there is a mistake. But, there is another side to this. It is about helping another person grow up, but only after you are sure that you have been right all the way long. Well, yeah, to make the whole thing short, it's about learning, unlearning, relearning from oneself, one's own mistakes, others mistakes and others achievements with an open mindset and keeping a step forward in the journey we call Life.
