March 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Edmonton Event First in Canada to Highlight 2012 Autodesk Product Rollout

Edmonton, Alberta, March 23, 2011

Digital School, the creator of Global e-Training, is hosting an Autodesk University Extension event on April 26, 2011 in Edmonton, Alberta. The Digital School AU Extension will introduce the GeT Interactive Online On-Demand training and GeT Live Virtual Classrooms as official Autodesk authorized training courses. Professionals and students who take these courses will receive certificates of completion, as well as invaluable access to the highest quality Autodesk training. Plus, the Digital School AU Extension will be the first event in Canada at which the Autodesk 2012 product line will be introduced.

Autodesk University is annual series of user conferences hosted by Autodesk, Inc., a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. Hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world convene in person in Las Vegas, Tokyo and Beijing, as well as online through Autodesk University Virtual for technical classes, connections with Autodesk insiders and industry experts, and keynote addresses from Autodesk industry leaders and customers.

Following AU every year, Autodesk partners host AU Extension events to give local CAD communities the chance to receive the same kind of live expert instruction, network and share ideas, and take advantage of the many special opportunities that accompany an event of this stature.

The Digital School AU Extension is extremely pleased to welcome Lynn Allen, Autodesk Technical Evangelist, as the keynote speaker. Lynn is a much-sought-after presence in the CAD world, not only respected for her years of technical expertise but also well known for her lively approach and insight into CAD issues.

The event will include live technical classes hosted by Autodesk staff experts, plus access to the content on the Autodesk University website. Attendees of the Digital School AU Extension event will also be able to receive free certification for AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Inventor, and many other Autodesk products.

There will be a trade show/job fair for Alberta companies to reach out to the local work force and their own markets. Networking sessions, a VIP meet and greet, a luncheon, an exclusive VIP banquet and many more informal opportunities to meet with prospective employers and business partners make the Digital School AU Extension a unique event combining all the benefits of the main Autodesk University gathering.

The big news for the day will be the introduction of the Autodesk 2012 product line presented by Lynn Allen. This will be the first event in Canada that will give attendees a live look at what the 3D design software leader has planned for its next releases, and as such is already generating buzz among design and engineering enthusiasts and industry insiders alike.

Digital School will also be launching its revolutionary Global e-Training lineup of online e-Training products, GeT Interactive and GeT Live, and will be announcing its qualification for official Autodesk Authorized Training Center (ATC) certificates of completion for e-Training courses. Global e-Training is the only interactive e-Training available in the Autodesk community and is being delivered throughout North America via its reseller distribution channel. This is an important step in the move toward greater access to quality, recognized training in design and engineering software for everyone from local companies struggling with the logistical problems associated with classroom instruction to individuals around the world without access to other means of training. The Global e-Training approach is the next step in online training, reaching every learning style in ways no one has before, with ease of use and access unparalleled in the industry. This is an opportunity for local Alberta companies and individuals to take advantage of this innovative offering.

The Digital School Autodesk University Extension will be held April 26 at the Digital School campus in Edmonton City Centre Mall, and also hosted virtually through several reseller partners for access to the same quality content and features around the world on a later date.
