Marie Dancy-Brennan Featured in the Light Space & Time Artist Showcase

March 19, 2011 - PRLog -- JUPITER, FLORIDA --- Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Marie Dancy-Brennan is now featured in the gallery’s Artist Showcase. Light Space & Time has been very fortunate to have the fine art painter Marie Dancy-Brennan participate in four of the gallery’s art competitions.  The fact that Marie has placed in all of the gallery’s exhibitions that she has entered is a testament to her skill and talent as an artist.  Marie was honored with a First Place award for the October 2010, “Liquid” Art Exhibition for her work entitled “Wave”.  

Marie has loved being an artist for the most of her life and she believes that “Art opens the mind to endless possibilities. It’s an expression of our untapped, unexpressed and even our unexpected emotions”.

Marie is inspired mostly by nature, its colors, shapes, and varieties of subject, but especially by the light and shadow effects. She also loves high contrast which she captures beautifully in her pencil drawings. Marie has expanded into using digital media to create new pieces from old paintings or from her photos of nature and particularly of her flowers.  

Marie Dancy-Brennan is a Californian living and painting in Ramona, in San Diego County.  Marie has a degree from San Diego State University in graphic arts and has taught, painted and sold artwork for almost 40 years.  

From time to time Light Space & Time features artists who have previously competed and shown their work in the art gallery. Artists who have demonstrated a high degree of artistic talent and skill are showcased along with their art.  Through this feature, the gallery hopes that the viewer will get to meet, see and begin to understand what motivates these great artists and their art.
