A PASS Review of Elex2011
A local company attended the national annual Elex exhibition and provide us with their expert opinion on the event and those who were there.
With a huge number of stalls and stands providing different tools, equipment, services and training, Elex Harrogate was the place to be on Thursday and Friday 10th and 11th March 2011.
The main entrance opened out into a large square area filled with every type of tool and equipment possible from folding ladders and tool kits, to bespoke joinery services offering superb craftsmanship, all promoting local and national businesses.
The central area became home to demonstrations of tool performance including drilling, sawing and hammering where buyers could get involved and try things out before committing.
Moving away from the central area you are met with the electrical section where everything from lighting, test equipment to thermal imaging and seminars, provided by the NICEIC and the Electrical Safety Council, were taking place.
Many of the attendants came to look around the stands and see the seminars on industry best practices and informative demonstrations of electrical news and information.
In amongst this mass of people and companies was PASS ltd, a North East based electrical company that provides everything from training to equipment sales, including test equipment, thermal imaging cameras and electrical industry courses. The two day event proved to be a huge success with over 300 entries to PASS’s Multifunction Tester competition.
Some of the electrical industry’s main electrical equipment suppliers also attended including Seaward who had a large step display in their trademark red, Kewtech, Megger and Fluke also attended, each displaying their stands in individual ways.
The whole event was a huge success for all those involved and PASS are now looking forward to the next Elex event.
