Follow on Google News | ![]() Is Air Zimbabwe turning the corner?Air Zimbabwe board chairperson Jonathan Kadzura is turning the corner whilst describing the aborted flight from Harare to Victoria Falls as “normal in the aviation industry”.
By: Mark Benson http://www.cheapzimbabweflights.com/ One of the airline’s Boeing 767 was on Sunday forced to abort a flight to Victoria Falls and return to Harare International Airport after developing a technical fault. “It’s nothing major. These things happen all the time the world over,” said Kadzura. The airliner plans to increase its flights from Harare to London to three times a week beginning in April and twice to China. http://www.cheapzimbabweflights.com/ “We are in a drive to ensure that all people intending to travel to the country either for business or tourism purposes will find Air Zimbabwe ready to offer them that service as a national airline,” said Kadzura. He said whilst the airline was still far from achieving travelling figures of one million passengers in 1996, it has seen a significant increase in its passengers lately. “We are not yet there but we will continue to push in order to take advantage of the increase we have experienced in recent months,” said Kadzura. Since the formation of the inclusive government two years ago and the lifting of travel warning by several European countries the country has seen an increase in tourist arrivals from European source markets. http://www.cheapzimbabweflights.com/ Asked on when the airline would appoint a substantive chief executive officer, Kadzura said, “We will only do that at the right time, when we have identified someone who can take the airline forward”. # # # Flights Master: Cheap flights experts to world wide destinations from UK & Europe.
