Professional Golfer Elliot Gealy Shoots -6 to Finish 10th overall in Panama Claro Championship

March 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC – March 10, 2011- Competing in his first professional golf tournament in three years, Elliot Gealy started his 2011 Tour campaign very strong with a Top 10 finish in the Panama Claro Championship.  Gealy opened tournament play with a -1 in Round 1.  After fighting through three weather delays in between Rounds 2 and 3, Gealy climbed as high as 3rd overall heading into his final two holes of round 3 early Sunday morning.  After bogeying 17 and 18 to finish round 3, Gealy fell back to 7th overall heading into the Final Round.   Gealy wrapped up Round 4 with a +1 to finish -6 and in a tie for 10th place for the tournament.

After the tournament, Gealy responded “It felt great to be back out on the course and competing with the best golfers in the world.”  Asked about playing through the multiple weather delays Gealy remarked, “It’s very difficult to have long breaks in the middle of your round because game flow is a very important in golf.  I just tried to use the delays to my advantage as a chance to re-focus.”  Gealy continued “I would once again like to thank my lead sponsor for the 2011 season, TriMark Solutions.”

Gealy will return to action at the Pacific Rubiales Bogota Open in Bogota, Columbia on March 3-6, 2011
