PRLog -- Philippe Gerwill is the global head of purchasing IT for Novartis Pharma AG, a leading pharmaceutical corporation. Philippe joined Novartis in 2005 as global program manager and accepted his current appointment in 2010. In this role, he is responsible for advising on global procurement initiatives, implementing procurement applications, and directly supervising five senior project managers and two senior business analysts. Previously, Philippe served as head of e-Business for Lonza AG, senior business analyst and project manager for Ciba Specialty Chemicals, which included an eighteen month short-term assignment in the US as ERP manufacturing team leader. Highly regarded for his dedication and practical knowledge, he attributes his success to determination, hard work, and solid analytical and problem solving skills. Strongly committed to advancing his career, Philippe studied economics at the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg and completed the IT Excellence Corporate Executive Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne in 2009.
