Craig Owen Jenkins philosphy on success

Craig Owen Jenkins grew up on a farm and has worked as a logger, carpenter and heavy equipment operator.  He has also been writing songs for around 20 years.  He has had his own bands in the past and had toured extensively in western Canada.  Craig also played/toured for many regional artists and bands as either a guitar player or electric bass and upright bass.  He’s worked as a freelance studio musician and as you can very well see, he is an all around musician’s musician able to play sit down and work with any musician all types of music.  This kept him away from his own creations.   Craig is currently working in construction but always has his eye on the prize.  He’s working to building his financial stability to market his own music as opposed to hitting the hard road.  

Craig lives in Alberta, Canada where he is currently writing new songs and rehearsing with recording artists Matthew Ryan Woods and Chloie Albert, both from Edmonton Alberta.  Chloie is an award winning singer/songwriter.  Craig has regained his focus on his own music and is happy to announce the release of his debut CD titled “Craig Owen Jenkins”.  

The lead single off of his debut CD is “Big, Fat and Chunky”.  This song is poking fun at us as a society.  Our addition to technology, media, advertising, has not really advanced us.  At his live shows he always asked the question, “have we really evolved much or are we just monkeys with electricity?”  His vocals are raw which fits so perfectly with his authentic southern country/rock sound.  This song also has a very catchy beat and rhythm that just makes you want to put your boots and dance.  I would put him in the same category with Tom Petty, CCR, John Mellencamp and others of that genre.  That guitar drawl that talks back to you is just perfect.  A more glorious mix you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere.
 
Craig Owen Jenkins has played Big Valley Jamboree and Merritt Mountain Music Festival as a band leader/guitar player for another artist.  He is also looking to get back to playing shows this spring.
