MTM President Speaks at Global Business Conference

Feb. 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Myriam Siftar, president of MTM LinguaSoft, was a featured speaker yesterday at the 8th Annual Global Business Conference sponsored by the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia and Drexel University's LeBow College of Business (http://www.wtcphila.org/main_event_page.asp?cmd=display_event_details&event_id=786).

This year's conference was a particularly special event, since it was also part of the Export-Import Bank's new Global Access for Small Business (Global Access) Initiative (http://www.exim.gov/smallbusiness). The keynote speaker was Fred P. Hochberg, Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank, and Francisco J. Sanchez, Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade, also gave a presentation. This was the second in a series of forums attended by federal trade officials to inform small businesses about export opportunities and accessing the capital needed to sell products to customers across the globe.

Other speakers included Christopher Warren, Senior Vice President of Citibank; Deborah Wince-Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Council on Competitiveness; and Donald D. Wirth, Vice President of Global Operations at Dupont. Mayor Michael Nutter gave a welcome on behalf of the City of Philadelphia.

In addition to giving an update on the Global Access Intiative, the conference also provided an update on global trends and information on practical tools to help increase export sales. Siftar's presentation was titled "Optimizing Web Presence for International Sales" and was designed to give businesses an overview of what was involved in the process of globalizing a website for international audiences. MTM LinguaSoft specializes in the translation and globalization of websites and Siftar's background before forming the company was as a corporate IT specialist.
