PHRT(Peripheral Heart Rate Training) High intensity interval training on the Elliptical for 10 minutes is 1 of the best ways to drip off fat from your waist, thighs, butt, and hips. This takes some time to get use to it if you're not use to. What you do is alternate between Elliptical to a treadmill to an upper body exercise and then lower body exercise. high intensity and low intensity. So you go from really fast and hard to really slow and easy. This works to burn off fat fast because it creates an "AFTER-BURN" Therefore, for a 6 minutes on the elliptical, you'll alternate to a fast walk on your treadmill for about 4 more minutes. Your stride on the elliptical will be moderate and then your walking goes fast for another 4 minutes. Then you start an upper body exercise like: (Dumbell Chest Press), follow by a lower body exercise (Deep Squat). Repeat this 3 times for a total of 6 min. on the elliptical 4 minutes on your treadmill and one set of lower and upper body exercises each time. You tricking your body from low intensity to high intensity cardio. Follow by strength training for lower body and upper body. You are recruiting many energy systems that in return will stimulate fast oxydative fat cells and enzymes. You are also elevating your heart rate to a total burning zone! 2-SNACK TIME! Snacks can make you or break you. There many variety and some of them can literally help you suppress your appetite and calm your hunger! Plan two to three snacks a day. If you work out of the home, bring two snacks with you each day. If you work at home, choose your snacks in the morning or the night before. You may even want to post a "Healthy Snack List" on your refrigerator to help you make good choices. Portions are important.
