PRLog -- The Urbana project, a 6 Acre commercial-retail mixed-use development in Sector 67 of Gurgaon, India has miraculously sold out on the day of it’s launch, signifying a change in climate for the Indian commercial real estate market. Designed in what is being called the “California style”, the project brings a new type of retail experience to the India’s growing middle class. Internalized, “big box” malls are encountering difficulty filling tenant space as the trends are now shifting towards outdoor retail. Indian retailers are beginning to take cues from successful outdoor retail projects in other parts of the world, and are now seeing the payoff in designing “experience”
over purely efficient space planning.
