Jan. 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Pam Stanton is a small woman on a big mission: to become the “Tony Robbins” guru of the project management world. “And considering I’m only 5 feet tall, that visual comparison alone is just hilarious” she jokes, and notes that “there’s no rock star like Tony for project managers… so why not me?”

After 20 years of leading large business projects in the corporate world, Pam put it all on the line in 2010 to start her own venture as Pam Stanton: The Project Whisperer http://www.pamstanton.com. She recently published a book The Project Whisperer revealing some of her best (and funniest) project stories, as well as her particular insights into the group dynamics that spell success or disaster. “Project Management tends to focus too much on process and methodology, when it's really all about human behavior” says this veteran of hundreds of successful initiatives. “Statistics tell us that the failure rate of projects is between 60% and 75%”, says Pam, “so obviously the methodology is missing something.”

Her project management book http://www.pamstanton.com/New_Project_Whisperer_Book_Pam_... has opened doors to speaking engagements and guest appearances on internet shows like the PM Podcast and The Authors Show. But this bundle of energy is not stopping there. She envisions bringing the secrets of “The Project Whisperer” to television, showcasing the business benefits to be reaped through her engaging blend of respect, integrity, humor, and candor. “It’s like The Apprentice meets SuperNanny,” she chuckles. Pam observes that while Donald Trump’s Apprentice has been successful at portraying team drama, the situations are contrived. The Project Whisperer would show real people at work, with Pam employing the behavioral insights that form the core of her Seven Stages approach. http://www.pamstanton.com/New_Seven_Stages_Pam_Stanton_Pr...

In keeping with her philosophy of “people first”, Pam says it’s vital for the show to be a positive experience for the participants. “This would be a fantastic visibility opportunity for a start-up launching a new product or service. And it would be totally OK for them to stumble in the beginning, and then work with me to come together as team. Viewers love to see that growth—they want to root for the underdog!”

Pam envisions this show as a perfect fit for the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) which launched January 1st. “Oprah is my hero—someone who started with nothing and built an empire out of grit, determination, and integrity. Oprah stands for living your best life—even as a 49-year old woman taking a professional leap with no safety net. I know Oprah would be proud of me!”

So Oprah, if you’re reading, go ahead and make Pam’s day.
