By: Ignatius Lopez There has been implemented an afterschool martial arts program, to parallel a national fitness initiative. Included also is the tutoring programs now in session. This includes all high school aged youth. Personal tutoring begins immediately following subscription. The after school program, including a tutoring program, academics, home work , allows for 30 hours of tutoring sponsored by federal government No child left ehind...http:// At CMMA, 4808 W Wrightwood, Chicago,a program available for any child in the area and is open to all students attending cook county schools. These programs feature all subjects including math, science and geography. Also, teachers from cps schools will be instructing, with a ratio of one teacher to six students maintaining the standard for maximum learning environment. Director, Frank Santoria, US Army Ret., oversees all programming at the academy. Mr. Santoria holds a 7th Degree Dan in Tae Kwon Do, and has been serving the community for over sixteen years. Also, in conjunction wih these partnerships for academic learning being offered by the association, is one of physical development. The sessions for staff fitness programming , began in Oct 2010, also int Gordon Tech Hign School, in Chicago, http://www.gordon- Chicago Martial Arts Academy trains its students in the Tae Kwon Do, which includes the five military styles.
