Sparky Firepants Hosts Love is in the Air: Make-your-own Valentine Contest

Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Valentine's Day is swiftly approaching and Sparky Firepants has a contest for people who love to craft their own valentines.

The Love is in the Air: Make-your-own Valentine contest will be hosted at the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show in Los Angeles January 28-February 2 and on the Sparky Firepants website through Valentine's Day.

David Billings, CP of Sparky Firepants Images, created the contest as a fun way to get visitors interacting at the CHA Trade Show this coming weekend. "I know how awkward it can be to walk trade shows," Billings says, "I really want visitors to feel at ease when they come to my booth, so I envisioned this craft activity as a non-pushy conversation starter."

The contest has participants crafting homemade invitations using whatever materials they like. The only stipulation is that they use one of three illustrations provided by Sparky Firepants. The free images will be available to pick up at CHA Trade Show booth #4943, or as a PDF download at http://sparkyfirepants.com/sparkyfirepants/valentine-cont....

The Love is in the Air: Make-your-own Valentine contest is open to anyone who wants to enter.

"As I developed the contest, I realized it would be really fun to take the contest outside the trade show. I decided that online fans of my art should get a chance to enter the contest, too," says Billings.

Three winners will be chosen and no purchase is necessary to enter.
