Dell is planning on shifting 25,000 of its employees, roughly a quarter of the total employees, from their current BlackBerry phones to new Windows Phone 7 phones that Dell is creating. This switch will save Dell on money since they will no longer have to pay for RIM’s services. Dell will also offer the same switch to some of its Android phone’s.
While this is such a large switch, it’s still not as big as Microsoft’s earlier this year to the Windows Phone 7, which would give every one of Microsoft 89,000 employees a Windows Phone.

This doesn’t help the RIM market any with such a large drop of users. It also would give people who buy Dell products an incentive to buy a Windows Phone 7, rather than a RIM device.
