tangerine starts 2011 with Design Award success

Jan. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Tangerine, the strategic product design agency has won two awards in the Good Design Awards organised by the Chicago Athenaeum. In the Electronics category tangerine won for designing the A-400 printer for it’s Korean based client Sindoh and they also won in the Environment category for the Dialogue Café Pod designed for Cisco.

Tangerine created a distinctive and differentiated visual DNA for Sindoh’s products, that carries across a range to set them apart from the other competing products on the market. Martin Darbyshire, MD of tangerine explains, “The design offers enhanced user functionality, clean distinctive lines and a simple and fresh approach to colouring in black and white. The visual language shown in the A-400, builds as it progresses into the larger models, which have also been designed by tangerine and will be released later this year. This range of printer/copiers is one project in the exciting on-going strategic design relationship tangerine has with Sindoh.”

Dialogue Café pod designed for Cisco
These tele-presence pods, conceived by tangerine, are being built in the UK and shipped to worldwide destinations for Dialogue Café. The Lisbon & Rio Dialogue Cafés opened summer 2010, with Amsterdam being added in Autumn 2010. Cisco are providing the enabling technology for the Dialogue Café sites and tangerine is working alongside Dialogue Café & Cisco, Lisbon, Rio and the States on the project. A programme of more café openings are planned for 2011, across the globe.
