Charlotte, North Carolina----January 12, 2011- Urban Skin Solutions MedSpa and Laser Center (http://www.urbanskinofcharlotte.com) a unique MedSpa with a focus on ethnic and darker skin tones, announces the launch of their new skin care line, Urban Skin RxTM, along with their move to a new, expanded location at 2424G West Mallard Creek Church Road in Charlotte.

The 2500 square foot MedSpa and Laser Center which opened in 2006, has moved into a space twice the size of the former location to meet the demands of a rapidly growing clientele.  Urban Skin Solutions features high performance corrective laser treatments and chemical peels that are safe and effective for darker skin tones, massage, weight management programs, a full Fancy Lash & Make-up Bar, Glam Photo Shoot parties (a la the Real Housewives of Atlanta) and is the showcase for the new Urban Skin Rx skin care line.

The newly launched line offers clinical skin care products designed to treat diverse skin tones, offering in-house skin rejuvenating treatments along with a wide variety of facial and total body care products for the treatment of premature aging, sun damage, acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation (irregular or patchy discoloration of the skin) to be retailed for at-home use.

“I understand the unique challenges women and men of darker skin tones face in trying to combat inherited skin problems.  African Americans, which make up 70% of our clientele face a variety of ethnic-oriented skin challenges that we specialize in treating.  25% of those clients are men, who also face specific ethnic-oriented needs, such as laser treatment removal of razor bumps, common in African American men” said Rachel Roff, owner of Urban Skin Solutions, medical aesthetician, certified laser technician, and developer of the Urban Skin Rx line of skin care products.
