“Cracking Scheme, Gromit!”The scheme has even caught the attention of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep creator Nick Park, who provided a signed poster to be awarded as a prize to one lucky employee.
By: Simon Hood However, its employees play a crucial part in their carbon management action plan by following the three R’s: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse. To continue their strong, green working culture in the summer, HCR introduced an innovative green card scheme, a walk to work incentive encouraging employees to walk, cycle, use public transport, or car share as an alternative to travelling to work via car. Each employee received a credit card sized card and collected stickers for each day they used greener travel methods to get to work. Once 15 stickers had been collected the employee was entered into a monthly prize draw. Early this month, in a bid to make this incentive greener, the HCR walk to work scheme went digital - allowing employees to take part in the scheme with a simple click of a mouse. The scheme has even caught the attention of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep creator Nick Park, who provided a signed poster to be awarded as a prize to one lucky employee.
