Devyne Stephens' Launches "Power of Music" Text Campaign at 3rd Annual Christmas Gala

Dec. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Philanthropist and entertainment entrepreneur Devyne Stephens’, founder and CEO of Upfront Megatainment hosted more than 500 Atlanta luminaries and friends from the music, arts, and philanthropic cultural spheres at his 3rd annual Christmas Gala.  Themed “Winter Wonderland”, the formal, black-tie evening inaugurated Devyne Interventions “Power of Music” text campaign to benefit Devyne Intervention and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding.

Held at the historic Buckhead Theatre, guests were greeted by a dazzling holiday ambiance which included Santa Claus and live reindeer, Nutcracker drummers, angels, ballerinas, and toy soldiers. Guests also enjoyed a white carpet cocktail reception of passed hors d’oeuvres, complimentary wine and musical navigation by DJ Baby-Yu.  

Joining Devyne Stephens in welcoming guests was his superstar recording artist Akon, Mayor Kasim Reed and Devyne Intervention Board members Jack Sawyer, John Spiegel, Joel Katz, and Ladi Drew, who also serves as VP/CFO of Upfront Megatainment. Other special guests for the evening included 100 Black Men of Atlanta President, John Grant and Lovette Russell, Chairman of the Children’s at Hughes Spalding Community Board. A constellation of celebrities and notables including Kenny “Baby Face” Edmonds, Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland, Dave Hollister, Jermaine Dupri, Actress Terri Vaughn, and Roger Bobb of Tyler Perry Studios, Demetria “DD” McKinney, Julius “Dr. Jay” Irving, radio personality Kenny Burns and a host of others mingled with guests.

The evening’s program saluted entertainment icon, Tyler Perry and Tyler Perry Studios for their extensive community and humanitarian support of organizations such as “Be Someone” and Hosea Feed the Hungry.  As the holiday show began, guests were riveted by Devyne Stephens’ appearance as conductor of the orchestra. Baby Face’s performance, the choir rendition of “Silent Night” and the high-energy entertainment by the exciting new group Audio held the audience spellbound. Later, guests enjoyed music provided by celebrity DJ, Infamous.
