Dec. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Microsite 2.0 is a new product from Karma411 that enables nonprofit organizations to empower their supporters to spread awareness and raise funds on its behalf.  A nonprofit can have a custom Microsite built for them for any event or cause in less than one day.

The Microsite product is essentially a ‘website in a box,’ meaning it has a branded URL with the ability to create multiple pages. This product is ideal for nonprofit organizations that have upcoming events such as walkathons or auctions, in that it allows each supporter who signs up to create their own page on the site, upload pictures and videos, share stories and invite their friends. Each Microsite can be fully branded for the nonprofit, with the ability to create a customized masthead and a custom color scheme, to name just a few details. Nonprofits can create a site to complement their live event with this product in less than one day.

Microsite2.0’s new features include a ‘Footer’ option, which allows the organization to add google analytics to their site; a ‘Stylesheet’ option, which enables the organization to fully customize their site; a ‘File Upload’ feature, which shows a list of items the organization has uploaded to the site; and finally a ‘Slideshow’ option, which is where the organization can add up to five images that will rotate in a box on the site. “This tool is a progression of our current suite of products,” said John Murcott, President of Karma411. “Our Microsite 2.0 product is a site in a box that will enable any organization to get an event up and running quickly, while also including people-to-people fundraising components so that organizations can empower their supporters to become their most powerful advocates ”

John has 15 years of technology startup experience in products, strategy and marketing, and has started four companies throughout his career. In 2007, John launched Karma411, a social networking site that raises money for non-profits. He is responsible for product development, and runs the engineering and QA efforts.
