Dec. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The Italians are world renowned for passion. Passion that shows itself in everything from design to cooking. Aster Cucine believe that the kitchen is the place where there is seemless flow between the two.

The Contempora Next collection, launched at Eurocucina this year, creates a kitchen that truly is a living space. Inspiration comes from the simplest things and none more so than light. The Contempora Next changes subtly throughtout the day and night reflecting time and surroundings by playful use of material, reflection, hidden lighting and shadow.

The Contempora next is a kitchen that is as unique in design as it is to its surrounding. Merging living and kitchen space with life and living.

Door Fronts
Contempora Next introduces a range of door fronts that offer seemingly endless opportunity to play with light and colour. From embossed, metallic or high gloss lacquer, to laminate or glass in an array of colours ranging from the subtly of natural hues to the hottest pink.
The extensive collection of coloured glass doors are available as a flush front or a finely bevelled edge, both reacting differently to the ambient light. Also introduced to the Contempora Next concept are gold and silver leaf, and three steel door fronts: satin, polished and an innovative hammered front. The imagination and flexibility within the collection means that doors can be used as decorative wall panels and splash backs to dramatic effect.

Lights
The Contempora Next creates a living space that flows through day and night. Playful use of materials and innovative design culminate in a kitchen that simply comes alive as evening approaches. Hidden lighting within individual units, shelves, plinths and worktops create a stunning effect, playing with light and the reflection on door fronts, work surfaces and flooring. The use of highly reflective and mirrored surfaces all maximise natural and creative light, so it literally dances from one surface to another.

Worksurfaces
It is more than reflection and lighting that creates the feeling of light in the Contempora Next collection. The Italians know that when you are passionate about something, it is the detail that counts and Aster Cucine has perfected the art of design with stunning slimline worktops in mirrored stainless steel and slender profile glass. Both glass and steel represent strength and light. Hidden lighting within worktop edges transform spaces, creating kitchen designs that merge light into living.
