Ideas to Make Christmas Tree Decoration with Your Children

Nov. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Christmas coming, do you wonder if there is any idea for you to make Christmas tree ball?

When I was little, my mum and I always make Xmas cookies and then hang on the tree. I used to love making them and the best part was eating them. I’m thinking about doing this on this Christmas day and giving them out as presents or with our Christmas cards.

I want to make some paints and my daughter make her own Christmas tree ball ornaments for the tree. We love Christmas!

Last year I got my daughter to paint and decorate with glitter, little wooden Christmas trees and stars. This year I bought some clear plastic baubles and some glitter paint for the kids to decorate. I'm going to use some as gifts for her friends.

We can do loads of crafty things:
1) Making items of decoration (for Christmas tree and home decoration)

We can inspire our kids for making items for Christmas tree decoration like they can easily make glitter painted balls in brilliant colors, Christmas greetings, small Christmas tree balls using (handmade papers, beads and colorful paints).
2) They can easily help you in making decorative candles as well as lamps.
3) Preparing satin flowers that can be used for decorating home.

I'm making place mats with my kids for our Christmas Eve dinner we do with our families. Just using normal A4 paper, we did red and green bubble painting on them. Then we printed out everyone's name and stuck them on either red or green back grounds, and glued to the centre of the place mat. Then I picked up 3 bags of those sequent things, Christmas tree, Stars and little merry Christmas Signs. And the kids have glued them all over. Then I am just going to laminate them. Hopefully they will be a cute little feature on the Christmas Dinner Table

Another Idea that was a BIG hit when I was working in Child Care, were hand and foot print angels. All what you need to do is to get some silver and gold paint and a piece of card.

Then using the silver do two hand prints with the finger spread right out, but do them sideways with the bottom of the palms touch as these are the wings. Then with the gold paint, make a foot print over the top, right in the middle of where the two hands touch, with the heel at the top near the little fingers. Make sure you do the heel just above the hand prints as that is the angels head. When it is dry, the kids can decorate with glitter etc (and don't forget a little face on the heel print). Then once its all dry cut it out, and use a piece of the off cut to make a ring on the back, so it can go on top of the tree.

Hope that makes sense, started to type it, then realized its really hard to tell someone where the handprints go if you can't show them.
