Nov. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- It’s the last day of November and all the sensible Christmas shoppers are probably feeling very smug that they have every single present purchased, gift wrapped and tagged ready for hand out on Christmas day. Whilst the rest of us are convincing ourselves that we will have plenty of time to do it all Christmas eve.

Have you ever noticed that when you shop early you get to see the warm glowing smile of your loved ones as they open their presents? As apposed to the “oh Great, socks…again” look you so often see when you do it all last minuet? It’s no secret that the bargains are here early this year and the opportunity to make some real savings before the VAT increase is huge.

BUT! Don’t make the mistake of buying a gift for someone just because it was cheap/on sale. You need to start by making a list of the types of things you think people would like. Then if you see an item on offer that falls into one of those categories you will have made a saving whilst buying a relevant present.

Sometimes the best gifts aren’t those that are the most expensive but those that are a novelty yet can also be used in every day life. Chris Evans from BBC Radio 2 recently announced his love for Egg Pillows (Sold by http://247electrical.co.uk) a novelty idea that is very practical. This is a great little give that can be picked up for a little over £10 including delivery.

Many novelty items in the same price bracket can be found relatively easy. One of the most fun items we have seen in a while is an Ice Swan Mould (Also sold by http://247electrical.co.uk). With no specialist equipment required, simply fill with water and pop it in the freezer over night. By the morning you have a breathtaking elegant ice swan sculpture. It allows you to create the most stunning Swan Ice sculpture at a fraction of the cost of getting one made (Just over £10 including Delivery).

So remember not to buy items just because they are cheap, make sure you have a person in mind for the gift and always leave plenty of time for shopping.
