Hunting Just Got Easier with GoldenPic

Nov. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Palatine, IL, USA - Jebs Apps, LLC is pleased to announce the newest release of GoldenPic and GoldenPicLite for Android phones. When it comes to hunting, fishing and hiking, sunrise and sunset play an important role, but that's not all. Golden Hours and Blue Hours are also very important.

After retrieving your current location (via GPS or Network location), GoldenPic will display when the blue hours, golden hours, sunrise and sunset will occur for any given date and location in the world. If the selected date is within 4 days, it will even display the weather for you (when available)! GoldenPic is great for planning your next trip, and you can even email the results! While the golden and blue hours is known for bringing the best lighting conditions for a photographer, did you know it can also help hunters?

According to Pa Outdoors (blogger at ForHuntersByHunters), “ GoldenPic gives you the blue and golden hours (which change depending on your location) not just sunrise and sunset. This is the period that deer are most active and travel from bedding to feeding areas and vice-versa.” He went on to say, "This is the best android application that I have found for hunting hours and planning your trek to your tree stand in the morning."

"For hunters in the woods, the black background (or 'None' theme) is easy on the eyes for a hunter who is already in the woods or who will be leaving the woods. Most hunting activity is typically at dawn or dusk."

After receiving feedback, Jebs Apps made some great enhancements to GoldenPic to raise the standard! Some of the new features added in this release include:

o Save favorite locations to reload anytime
o Modify favorite locations
o Map to favorite locations (driving or walking directions from Google Maps)
o Revamped time zone discovery to use your local time zone (only if the time zone for the selected location can’ t be found)
o Added 3 new themes (Hiking, Hunting and Fishing)

The full version of GoldenPic is available on the Android Market, on sale for $1.79 USD (reduced until 2011 for the holidays) and provides five different ways to change the location, it allows you to remember your last location (so you don't have to keep turning on your GPS each time), allows you to save your favorite locations and it also allows you to email the results to yourself or someone else (maybe to plan your next hunting trip).

GoldenPicLite is a free version with limited functionality, ad supported and also available from the Android Market. This new release of GoldenPicLite now provides the ability to change the location using two of the available methods from the full version. You can now refresh your current location or simply enter the city, state, zip code or landmark point of interest!
