Pine Cliffs Resort, Portugal, chooses Merlin Software for Vacation Ownership as its software partner

The resort is the property of United Investments Portugal (UIP) and managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Established in the early 1990s, the resort features the five-star Sheraton Algarve and Pine Cliffs Residence, both under the Luxury Collection brand, and offers in addition a selection of fractional, freehold, membership and investment options throughout the different villas, townhouses and apartments. The Pine Cliffs team were particularly keen to implement Merlin’s user-friendly online booking system which will make it possible for members to make their own online bookings in a live environment. “Merlin provides us with the ability to easily manage our membership database, track what they own, handle the complexities of our reservation system and provide the high levels of service our members expect from us” Mr Costa explained.

Merlin Software is being implemented in a two step process in line with the resort’s specific requirements. Step one includes the implementation of the sales, marketing and back office accounts modules and will be completed this month. Step two will be completed at the end of January 2011 and includes front office reservations and website integration.
