Follow on Google News | David Farrow on the ‘Creating Wealth Show:’ ‘Your memory is a learned skill'David Farrow, a two-time Guinness World Record holder for memory, visits the ‘Creating Wealth Show’ in a conversation with Jason Hartman.
By: Brittney Roberts Farrow shares his approach to teaching memory and how it is unique from the other experts on memory. He urges listeners to focus on an image rather than just memorizing words. “Use images to back up words,” Farrow explains. To further clarify, Farrow tests Hartman on memorizing 10 non-related items. Farrow then lists off the items for Hartman to memorize with the intent of showing one of his memorization exercises. Farrow repeats the 10 items, only this time he tells a story along with the items; a story that creates an image backing up the words. Upon the conclusion of the story, Farrow asks Hartman to repeat the items, which he does flawlessly. In addition to this exercise, Farrow suggests going through intense memorization intervals. “Break up the memorization task in five minute intervals and go as intense as you can. Once the minutes are up, stop and take a break and take a focus burst.” Farrow believes in regular exercise of one’s memorization skills. He even goes on to explain that regularly practice on memorization can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease in addition to the other personal and business-related benefits. David Farrow is the creator of the “Millionaire Memory” program and is a Guinness World Record holder for memorizing 59 decks of cards – 3,068 cards in a row. # # # The Creating Wealth Show has featured many recognizable names in recent years including Pat Buchanan, Robert Kiyosaki, Addison Wiggin, Michael Gerber, Peter Schiff and many others.
