Nov. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Sponsorship money poured in for Peterborough PR and marketing agency Media Matters’ charity walk. And staff poured it straight back out of their boots into the hands of the NSPCC’s Peterborough Business Support Group.

An eight strong team from Media Matters completed the 32 mile Hambleton Hobble – and a night under canvas - over a weekend in August.

Their efforts raised £2,742 in sponsorship which, with Gift Aid taken into account, meant the grand total topped £3,000. Every penny is going straight to projects in the Greater Peterborough area which support vulnerable youngsters.

“We’d like to think that not only have we raised a substantial amount of money which will go directly to projects in the city but that we may have encouraged other businesses to launch their own fundraising efforts,” said managing director Peter Corder. “The walk itself was certainly a challenge but, knowing we’d received such generous pledges from friends, family and business contacts kept us all going right to the finish line which we crossed together.”
