Dujon releases his first EP "Success"

Dujon first came onto the hip hop scene in the summer of 2009.  The significant event that changed Dujon’s life in regards to his music was the passing of his mother in 2008.  He was writing songs for nearly 10 years prior to this life changing event, but did not release any of his material until the year after.  This tragedy burned a sense of urgency within him, realizing that life is short.  He is determined to leave his mark on the world until the day he leaves it.  I give you Dujon.

From his debut EP, “Success”, Dujon releases a lead single titled, “Everything but the Girl”.   This song was picked up by over a dozen of the top radio stations across Canada.  This song is about having everything you need and want, except for that special someone.  “A lot of things I already have-except a girl who I love and is really hot”, states Dujon.  This song has a poppin’ beat which is perfect for the club scene. The image that you get when you listen to this song is a sea of swirling body’s dancing away at a New York club scene.  It is upbeat with plenty of melodic hooks and humorous lyrics.  This is also his first song to incorporate a bridge section which is uncommon in hip hop music.  One of the unique presents in this song is that it was also mixed by platinum award winning engineer Darius Szczepaniak.  

As with all of Dujon’s music, you have sultry vocals, great beats and outstanding recording techniques that makes his music stand out from the rest.  With an audio engineering degree, coming from a studio background and running his own music production company called DigitalHeart Beats, writing and producing not only his own, but other songs from other artists, Dujon demonstrates his versatility, professionalism and knowledge of this music industry.

The single “Everything but the Girl” led to a non-exclusive publishing deal with K & W Publishing and also got a positive review from Billboard Discoveries.   In December 2009, Dujon was featured on ‘Cost 2 Coast Mixtape Vol 108’ hosted by the infamous Snoop Dogg.
