Auburn University Students Visit GeorgiaTech Construction Site; Learn About Careers in Construction

Students from Auburn University’s Building Sciences program learned about career opportunities in the construction industry while touring an active construction site in Atlanta.

Oct. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- On Oct. 25, students from Auburn University’s Building Sciences program learned about career opportunities in the construction industry while touring an active construction site in Atlanta, the new G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons on the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) campus.

The students are members of the Auburn student chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (Alabama chapter). The AGC is the nation's largest and oldest construction trade association, providing Building Science students with activities that compliment their in-class curriculum.

Turner Construction is managing construction of the new Undergraduate Learning Commons. The Clough Commons will be a general classroom building for thousands of students studying physics, chemistry and biology.
