BlueChip Energy Receives 2010 Governor's Business Diversification Award For Green-to-Gold

Sept. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- LAKE MARY, FL. BlueChip Energy, a provider of complete solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, government and utility applications, today received the 2010 Governor's Business Diversification Award for Green-to-Gold in a major market.

Eighteen Florida companies in industries that the state targets for economic diversification and high wage job growth including cleantech and manufacturing received the award.  BlueChip Energy was one of three companies awarded in the Green-to-Gold category which recognized companies, universities, or organizations that through product or process best exemplified green leadership as it pertains to the state's goal to become a leader in this emerging field.

BlueChip Energy was recognized for its contributions toward renewable energy, cleantech, and manufacturing.  The award was presented by John Adams, CEO, Enterprise Florida and Chris Hart, Director, Office of Governor Charlie Christ.

Companies representing 12 counties received 2010 Governor's Business Diversification Awards.  BlueChip Energy is the only company in Seminole County to receive the award.  In June 2010, BlueChip Energy was named Innovative Business of the Year by the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce at its annual Chamber Choice Awards.

The awards were presented in Tallahassee during Florida's Industry Appreciation Week. The 2010 Governor's Business Diversification Awards were co-sponsored by Bank of America, Enterprise Florida and Florida Trend Magazine.
