Technical University of Madrid (UPM) ensures its Internal Quality Systems with Polymita

Sept. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- The Technical University of Madrid (UPM) has chosen Polymita BPM platform to automate their processes and ensure the implementation of their Internal Quality Systems of their 20 centers, providing services to its 3,500 teachers and researchers, 38,000 students and 2,500 employees of Staff and Services.

The strategic objective of the Planning and Evaluation Area of the UPM is to move towards a process management that optimizes the functioning of the organization. To accomplish this goal, UPM is leading the AUDIT program participation, promoted by ANECA. The program involves the identification and deployment of Quality Assurance System based on processes and also ensures compliance with other regulations such as the Bologna Plan and the Electronic Government Law in Spain.

UPM hopes that this project enables and facilitates an optimal application of a processes management, getting to ensure a quality service and a sustainable operating model, providing dynamic communication channels and providing a scalable solution for addressing current and future UPM needs by automating workflows and integration with its collaborative portals (students / teachers / schools / university / public).

According to Carmen García de Elías, Head of the Department of Planning and Evaluation of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Strategic Planning in UPM, "We have chosen Polymita because it is a collaborative development environment that enables process definition of all the faculties of the university, because it has a flexible and intuitive interface, very easy to change management and proven track records and high management skills with other public authorities."  She also confirms that "Polymita has allowed us to implement our policies of Internal Quality Assurance, such as the AUDIT program, the Bologna Plan and the E-Government Law, ensuring quality service and a sustainable operating model.
