AIM Computer Solutions Supports Goodwill Industries with Repetitive Software and Fundraising

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- FRASER, MI, September 22, 2010 - AIM Computer Solutions, Inc announced today that they will be sponsoring Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit in their most current fundraising effort; “Bowling for Jobs”.  AIM is pleased to join other fellow Goodwill advocates from across the region to support programs that help our friends and neighbors earn jobs.

Goodwill Industries has helped people go to work since 1902 and is the only organization focused solely on helping local people secure employment by becoming trained, trusted and ready to work. They help Metro Detroiters overcome employment challenges to earn careers in fields such as financial services, computer programming and health care. They believe that work creates the economic energy that builds strong families and strong communities. Work helps build self-confidence, friendships and independence. Everyone deserves a chance to have those things in life. Goodwill provides that chance; and AIM is proud to sponsor their cause.

AIM Computer Solutions, Inc along with Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit invites you to join the fight for local jobs as we go “Bowling for Jobs” on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Thunderbowl Lanes (4200 Allen Road, Allen Park, MI 48101-2792)
Bowling activities will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and will include a silent auction and tin can raffle. Other ways to support Goodwill on September 25 include donating your e-waste (computer accessories) and gently used clothing or house wares at Thunderbowl from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The event is also scheduled to include a car show in the Thunderbowl parking lot featuring local automobile enthusiasts and their hot rods beginning at noon.
All activities support Goodwill programs that help Southeast Michigan residents earn jobs by overcoming barriers to employment and becoming trained, trusted and ready to work.

In just the past few years of its nearly 90-year history, Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit has placed thousands of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb county individuals into new jobs and provided education, training and career assistance to thousands more in the region.
