By: Latest Creations Earshot lends a unique perspective to both the concept of coping with infidelity and being an African American Filmmaker producing an independent film. Victor Emmanuel Childs (Vincent Cheatham) gets a visit by a messenger from God (voice of Jeremy Arnold), answering a pertinent question he’s been asking God to answer about his wife’s suspected infidelity. As a result, he goes on a mission to get even while she’s out of town. Vic runs into dead ends on his quest for a fling, but soon discovers, from the quarrelling voices escalating through the walls between him and his neighbor, that he’s not the only one having suspicions of infidelity. As things get heated up, Vic becomes more engrossed in the drama next door and soon finds himself a victim of their deadly love triangle. The messenger reappears to deliver another message—that Vic will be confronted by his greatest fear – just before he finds himself in his neighbor’s shoes, living out a thrilling, extended moment of truth. Hampton shot his independent film On Film–one of hardest things for an independent filmmaker self-financing a film to accomplish. “Before studios became studios, the filmmakers who built them made films. It’s the audience that gave them the power to become a studio. That is still the case today. My responsibility is to get Earshot to its audience,” said Hampton. “Achieving what seems like the impossible starts with first closing your eyes, opening them, and looking at what’s really in front of you,” said Hampton. Earshot has been selected to two film festivals, the International Black Film Festival of Nashville and the Southern Appalachian International Film Festival. The psychological drama, EARSHOT, is stopping by theatres in select cities across the country this fall and will be released on DVD in early 2011. The official site to find more information about Hampton, his movie, and more screening dates and to see a trailer is http//www.earshotmovie.com. This movie is not rated by the MPAA, but should be regarded as restricted for graphic scene and suggestive sexual content. # # # Latest Creations http://latestcreations.com/ End
