Mikulski Responds to Wargotz Ad

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Senator Mikulski has sent out an email (see the text below) responding to our latest television ad. It is clear Mikulski is scared of people finding out about her 34 years of wasteful spending, raising taxes, and roaming Washington with other political insidersauruses like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Mikulski realizes she is in the fight of her political life and she realizes Eric Wargotz is a threat which is why she responded so quickly to the television ad.

I am a fighter. A reformer. And, last time I checked, those values should never go "extinct."

Just yesterday, one of my 24 opponents released a new attack ad and website calling for my extinction and criticizing my work in the Senate.

Well, I've said it before and I am going to say it again: when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

That's why I need your help to show my opponent that we aren't going to stand for baseless attacks; we will stand up for what is best for Maryland. I'm ready to fight, but I can't do it without you. Will you help?

Let me be clear.  There's no attack ad, opinion poll, or TV talking head that's going to tell me what's right for Maryland.  I will always put my trust in the people of our great state.

That's why I voted to rein in the Wall Street greed that caused the recession, to stop insurance companies from denying coverage due to pre-existing conditions, and to extend unemployment benefits for the Maryland families who need it most.

Unfortunately, because of these votes, I have a target on my back. My Republican opponents are more energized than ever, and they are going to try to distract you with attack ads and rhetoric.

But I don't run from a fight, nor shrink from a challenge. Neither can you. My opponents are relying on deep personal pocketbooks and special interests; I am relying on you - the grassroots.

The Maryland grassroots have stuck by me before, and with just two weeks to go before the Primary and less than 60 days before Election Day, I need you now more than ever.
