Don Mathews ode to the emergency service industry

Don Mathews is a solo country artist who’s been performing since 2005.  He’s performed at a wide variety of venues including EMS expos, clubs and events in several stages and on the grounds of the U.S. Capital.  His music has been described as everything from Country to Folk/Americana.  Many of his songs revolve around the civil service and emergency response fields.  Don is proud to bring his life experiences to you through his music.  

Don’s new single, “Angels in an Ambulance” is off the CD with the same title.   This song describes the feeling of the families and patients feel during a medical crisis.  Seeing the ambulance arrives brings them a feeling of relief that help has arrived and hope that things will be better.   This particular song is a snippet of an EMS associate responding to a call.  The chorus line that says ‘When you risk your life just to save a stranger, if that ain’t  loving your neighbor, I don’t know what is’, says it all.  This song has a good ole country twang to it with a wonderful rhythm and those lyrics that ring true to your heart.  It is a glimpse as to the versatility of this artist.  He’s performed a wide variety of songs including, but not limited to tributes, love songs, and those with heavy story lines such as “Angels in an Ambulance”.
