Gorgeous Things has had a makeover

Aug. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Gorgeousthings.ie Ireland's leading handbag and accessories website has had a makeover.

'The existing design was two years old and we wanted something new but still recognisable to our customers, so we changed the colour scheme but kept the design the same. More of a nip and tuck than a complete facelift! said owner Joan Lucey recently .

But not just the look of the website has changed.

New handbag ranges such as High Street favourites, Fiorelli have been added as well as Pamela Mann designer tights, and there are more new handbag designs and accessories to come later in the season.

"Although business has improved, shoppers are still very value conscious and are looking to add accessories to update their wardrobe rather than rushing out to replace major pieces such as coats and boots.

A well chosen handbag, pair of gloves or scarf can be enough to ensure you get another season out of a winter coat".added Joan, when asked what she thought shoppers would be looking for this season.

She also gave us a few tips on trends for the coming season.  

Tights. An inexpensive way to update an outfit. Sheer tan tights are going to continue their style revival whilst white tights and patterned tights which featured heavily on the catwalks at the shows earlier this year, are going to be everywhere.

Animal prints continue in popularity but less is more, so a well placed accessory or, one piece rather than the full on Bet Lynch look, will win out this season.

Large jewels and other embellishments on accessories feature heavily in the winter collections.

The other end of the spectrum sees a minimalist look with pared down neutral tones and of course black. All shades of red are very popular as they look great teamed with both black and the more neutral tans and greys  

And what arm candy will Joan herself be seen carrying this winter?
